The Making of: Lulu

Lulu

There are only two Lulu’s that I can think of off hand and they are a fiery little Scottish pop star who loves to frolic in her hayday, and the other is the ever enigmatic, moody but yet motherly, moogle cradling black mage from the Final Fantasy. Seeing as this is a blog about anime and video game figures I think I will stick to talking about Final Fantasy Lulu.

Lulu is currently in development in the Fashion range of Ori figures. The work so far I think is doing a fantastic job of capturing the mood of the character. Looking at the colours of the original artwork she is certainly going to keep the stormy appearance of the games. It would have been nice if she was holding her moogle or cactuar though.

The images below start off with the original artworks, raw sculpt and a more detailed sculpt. The final images are examples of what is referred to as the Audition, this is where the creators inspect the sculpt compared to the artwork to make sure that the high Ori standards are being maintained.

More developments coming soon…
